Precision Train Loading System

HMA Halley & Mellowes (MHD) is the only company licensed to supply the Precision Loading System (PLS) from PICOR in the Australasian region.

The PLS uses a multi batch approach to the loading of bulk materials in both trains and trucks, weighing the material before it is placed into the wagon ensuring that each load is maximised for improved efficiency.

The use of multi batches allows the facility to be smaller than traditional weighed loading system with smaller weigh bin, surge bin and overall structure weight providing for significant savings in installation and ongoing operational costs.

The design incorporates a range of special features, for example bin calibration method, dust control, building access and load profile which all combine to make the PLS a unique facility.
